What is Generative AI?
Generative AI is AI that creates new content, such as text, images, audio, video or code, in response to a prompt.

Generative AI models learn patterns from large amounts of existing data and use them to produce new material. Language models generate text; image models generate pictures; other models generate speech, music or video. In business, generative AI is used for drafting, summarising, design, translation and coding. Outputs need human review for accuracy, brand fit and rights, and each tool's terms define how outputs may be used commercially.
