AI Agents

An AI agent is software that uses an AI model to plan and carry out a multi-step task, using tools such as your inbox, CRM or documents, and checks in with a person where you decide. DAIDU designs, builds and runs agents for well-defined business jobs, with clear limits and human approval built in.

An AI agent is a system that takes a goal, decides the steps needed to reach it, and uses tools to carry them out. A chatbot answers questions. An agent acts: it can look up a record, draft a document, update a CRM, send a message for approval and report back. Agents are useful when a task has several steps and the right next step depends on what the previous one found.

When an AI agent fits

Agents work best for jobs that are:

  • well defined, such as "prepare a first-response pack for every new tender" or "research each new lead and draft an outreach email";
  • multi-step, with tools and data the agent can safely reach;
  • checkable, so a person can review the result quickly;
  • frequent enough to justify the setup.

If a task always follows the same fixed steps, a standard automation is simpler and more reliable. If a task needs judgement on every case, an agent should prepare work for a person, not finish it.

How DAIDU delivers

Discover. We define the job the agent will do, what good output looks like, and what the agent must never do. We list the tools and data it needs and the risks involved.

Design. We design the agent's instructions, its tools and permissions, the knowledge it can use, and the points where a person approves. We decide how its work will be evaluated, using a set of real test cases.

Build. We build the agent on a suitable platform, connect it to your systems with the minimum access it needs, and test it against the evaluation set until results are consistent.

Run. The agent goes live with logging of every action and a simple way for your team to approve, correct or stop it. We review results with you regularly in the first weeks.

Train. Your team learns how to supervise the agent, read its logs, improve its instructions and know when to escalate.

What you need to provide

  • A clear description of the job and examples of good results.
  • Access to the tools and data the agent needs, with an owner who approves permissions.
  • A reviewer who checks the agent's output during the pilot.
  • Your policies on data, tone and approvals.

Guardrails we build in

Every DAIDU agent has limited permissions, human approval for actions that commit your business (sending to customers, payments, deletions), full activity logs and a way to switch it off. We start narrow and expand only when the agent has proven reliable on your real work.

Process

How we deliver it

  1. 01

    Define the job

    Agree the task, the success criteria and the limits.

  2. 02

    Design and evaluate

    Design instructions, tools and approvals, and build a test set.

  3. 03

    Build and test

    Build with minimum access and test until results are consistent.

  4. 04

    Pilot and supervise

    Go live with logs and human approval, review weekly.

  5. 05

    Train and expand

    Train supervisors and widen scope only when it proves reliable.

FAQ

AI Agents: common questions

What is the difference between an AI agent and a chatbot?

A chatbot answers questions in a conversation. An AI agent works towards a goal by planning steps and using tools, such as looking up records or drafting documents, and can involve a person for approval.

Are AI agents safe to use in a business?

They can be, with limited permissions, human approval for important actions, full logs and careful testing. We start with narrow, checkable tasks.

Can an agent work with our existing systems?

Usually yes, through APIs or automation platforms. We give the agent only the access it needs for its job.

Will an agent replace staff?

Agents take on preparation and repetitive steps. People still review, decide and handle relationships, and usually spend more time on higher-value work.
