What is API?
API: An API (application programming interface) is a defined way for software systems to talk to each other and exchange data or trigger actions.

APIs are how automations and AI systems connect to the tools a business already uses. An AI provider's API lets your software send a prompt and receive a response. A CRM's API lets an automation create or update contacts. When choosing business software, a good API is a sign that it can be connected and automated later. No-code tools make many APIs usable without programming.
