What is Model?
Model: In AI, a model is the trained system that turns inputs into outputs, for example a language model that turns a prompt into text.

A model is the result of training an algorithm on data. Different models suit different tasks: large language models for text, vision models for images, speech models for audio, and smaller specialised models for narrow tasks like classification. Providers offer several model sizes with trade-offs between quality, speed and cost. Choosing a model is a business decision as much as a technical one: consider accuracy on your tasks, language support, data handling and price.
Example
A company uses a large model for drafting client reports and a smaller, cheaper model for tagging thousands of support tickets.
